Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP) Overview


The Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP) empowers technology partners to integrate and certify their solutions with Symantec’s product portfolio resulting in access to greater market opportunities.

There are two levels of membership, STEP Base and STEP Technology Tracks.

STEP Base Membership

Participate at the Base membership level to begin building your technology partnership with Symantec. Members gain access to the following benefits:

  • Software licenses, technical support, and product training
  • Use of the STEP logo to showcase the partnership
  • Listing in the STEP Partner Directory where customers, partners, and Symantec representatives search for partners that best meet their business needs
  • Exclusive membership communications and access to Symantec-sponsored events.

STEP Technology Tracks

Pursue a deeper level of engagement with Symantec by enrolling in STEP Technology Tracks, which enable you to integrate and certify your products with our market-leading technologies.
By participating in a technology track you gain access to benefits such as Software Development Kits (SDKs), developer support and testing and validation services. Upon completion of product integration and certification, you can take advantage of the following benefits to promote the certified solution:
  • Inclusion in product-specific Symantec Compatibility Lists
  • Use of Symantec Certified Technology logo or Symantec Compatible Technology logo to showcase certified/compatible products to prospective customers
  • Certified product listing in the STEP Partner Directory
  • Participate in marketing activities available exclusively to Technology Track participants (varies by region)
